We smashed our Small Charity Week fundraising target!

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to all our wonderful supporters who donated via Big Give, our Small Charity Week fundraising campaign exceeded our target of £9,800 by raising an incredible £10,216. Once Gift Aid is added, the total amount raised increases to an outstanding £11,116.25.

During Small Charity Week (22-29 June) any donations made via Big Give were doubled, meaning every penny raised makes twice the impact for bereaved children.

This fantastic achievement will have a lasting impact on our ‘£350 for £300‘ campaign, enabling us to provide complete bereavement support for 32 children who have experienced the death of someone close to them.

HOLG CEO, Jules Tobin commented:

“We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, shared our campaign and helped spread the word. We are also incredibly grateful for the support of Big Give, NCVO, Global’s Make Some Noise and the People’s Postcode Lottery, whose backing helped make this campaign such a success.

“Every contribution, no matter the size, has helped us move closer to our goal of ensuring that children and families facing bereavement receive compassionate care and support when they need it most. Such generosity helps ensure children and young people do not have to face bereavement alone.”

The funds raised will help cover the costs of delivering specialist bereavement services, giving children and young people a safe space to express their feelings while equipping them with the tools, resilience, and support they need to navigate their grief throughout their lives. With the guidance of HOLG’s experienced team, they can develop healthy coping strategies that will support them long into adulthood.
