HOLG named Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce’s charity of the year

We are excited to announce that HOLG has been chosen as the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce charity of the year for 2026.

We were chosen from a shortlist of Kent charities, with the judges recognising the impact of our work supporting bereaved children, young people and their families across the county.

A leading accredited business support organisation for Kent’s businesses and charities, the Chamber offers its 1,200 members a range of business support, networking, representation and events to support growth and enterprise. As charity of the year, HOLG will benefit from a package of promotional activities including speaker slots and attendance at the Chamber’s many high-profile events, plus news in their Thinking Business magazine, social media and website – giving us the opportunity to share what we do with many more businesses, but also to reach families who might need us.

Our CEO Jules Tobin, said: “This really is fantastic news for our small charity, and we are very grateful to have been chosen – we know there were many other applications made.
“Promoting our work to such a diverse and wide-ranging community of businesses associated with the Chamber, provides us with so many opportunities to share what we do, ask for donations, inspire fundraising support and reach more families who need our help.
“There are so many ways individual businesses can help us within their budgets and marketing plans; from simple donations, to holding fundraising events, sharing our social media posts, finding out more about us, talking about us, buying a lottery ticket, attending events that are raising money for us or just letting a family with a bereaved child, know who we are and that we can help them.
“We hope that being named as the Chamber’s charity of the year brings us to the attention of organisations that may not have heard of us and inspires their support.”

One of the main fundraisers we are hoping to attract help with, is our £350 for 300 campaign – a year-long fundraising drive to raise £105,000 to support the 300 children we will meet over the next 12 months.
Businesses can aim to fundraise for one child – setting their target at £350, support multiple children, or of course, part-fund a child’s support with us through a smaller donation that contributes – donations under the full £350 are very welcome too, and make a difference.

Our lottery has also been relaunched this year and for £5 a month, we are hoping to attract Chamber players to join us.
