Generous offer from Harrisons Residential in Sittingbourne

Harrisons Residential in Sittingbourne have announced that they will donate £50 from every house sale to us.
They are continuing to support us as their chosen charity after their online raffle raised £820 for us earlier this month.
They had lots of lovely prizes donated and the tickets were sold online having been promoted via social media.

Director Chris Ellis first came across us a couple of months ago at the start of the COVID19 pandemic and wanted to help a local charity. He said: “For a while I’d wanted to support a local charity longer-term and when the pandemic started, I wanted to see who we might be able to help with some fundraising.
“I was told about Holding On Letting Go and thought they were really special and vital, particularly at the moment. The NHS is doing such a great job and has lots of fundraising going on which has been amazing to see but HOLG is a small charity doing work that goes hand in hand and they really need a boost having had all of their fundraising cancelled.
“The more we found out about them, the more we wanted to keep on supporting them, so when the raffle was finished, we looked at how we can support them more regularly so we decided on the £50 donation per property sale.
“I’m a father of two and can see the long-term effect of growing up without a parent for example; a part of their future is gone, sometimes in an instant, so what HOLG do is absolutely vital for families to help them through bereavement.”

Fundraising Officer Caroline Gaskin said: “It’s wonderful to have the support of a local charity, and for them to turn a one-off fundraiser into something ongoing is brilliant.
“Their donations will fund our services and at this time, we are supporting families through COVID-related bereavement and also recently bereaved or previously bereaved families who need our help too.
“Thank you so much Harrisons Residential!”
