It’s been a very strange year for charities, with events cancelled or taken online; the hunt for grants, donations and sponsorship has been busy too, but we can finally announce some fantastic events for the autumn.
All of your donations help us to provide our services, which have been delivered digitally over the last few months – but we are now able again, to support our families face-to-face, within strictly controlled socially distanced settings due to our exemption from government restrictions as a provider of charitable services.
We usually hold monthly bereavement support weekends, held across two days at venues across the county, but have now slimmed our programme into one day, with further support given afterwards, to ensure we can help as many children as we can who need our support.
Our autumn fundraising events will help us to continue to fund and provide these support days.
Here’s what we’ve got for you over the next few months – we’d love to have your support, to see your families with you and give you something to look forward to!

Downton & Ali Associates Speed Quiz
Our lovely corporate supporter Downton & Ali Associates is hosting a speed quiz – having had their annual and much-looked forward to Spring Ball cancelled in both March and September when it was rescheduled to!
Nothing stops them though and so they’re taking the fun online with this brilliant quiz which you will join through a free to download app and can enjoy at home – perhaps invite some friends and play against them to find out who is smarter!!

Friday 16th October: Cookathon
6.30pm – 9.30pm
If you like cooking and fancy an evening of it, get ready, get steady – for a ‘Cookathon; hosted by our friends at Downton & Ali Associates.
They’ve asked a few chef friends to come up with some menus, you decide which one you’d like to do on the night, you shop for the ingredients, and join the chef of your choice to be taken through the meal preparation before enjoying a fantastic, home-cooked meal at the end!
And it doesn’t end there – while you eat you’ll enjoy a magic show and auction, to be in with the chance of winning some wonderful prizes throughout the evening!

Friday 30th October: A night at the opera
7.30pm – 9pm
Live stream the opera into your lounge for this cabaret-style evening performed by Rogue Opera, an event being hosted by the Mayor of Medway to support his chosen charities.
Their director and singer Bronwen Stephens-Harding will be accompanied by the company’s musical director on the piano to take you on a journey through opera classics in the comfort of your own home.
Buy one ticket per device so that all the family can watch via Vimeo, or invite others to join you (ensuring to follow all current Government guidelines).
