2016 review

During 2016 we held seven bereavement support weekends, two in Broadstairs, one in Rochester and four in Sittingbourne. One of these weekends was specifically for those bereaved by suicide and traumatic death. We have directly supported over 150 bereaved children and young people, and their families, and provided telephone advice to many more, as well as providing training for teachers and pastoral staff in schools.

At our AGM in June our Chairman, Elaine Lawrence, stood down and we welcomed our new Chairman Des McCarthy. We are very grateful to Elaine for all that she has done for Holding On Letting Go and send her our very best wishes.

We appeared on TV twice this year! Most notably as part of the BBC Children In Need Appeal in November.

To all of our volunteers and supporters we would like to say a huge thank you for your continued commitment and enthusiasm. We couldn’t do it without you.
